CARMET Srl was born in Putignano, in the province of Bari, in 2001 to continue the work carried out by the administrator PUGLIESE GIOVANNI, with an individual company founded in 1984 and operating in the metalworking sector.

The main activity of CARMET Srl consists in the production of medium and light carpentry in galvanized and stainless steel (eg emergency stairs, canopies, sheds, gates, railings, structures for photovoltaic systems ...).

Since October 2010 the workshop is managed under a quality regime certifies UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008. For welding work the workshop is certified according to UNI EN ISO 3834: 2006. Currently CARMET Srl is certified by the Central Technical Service of the High Council LL.PP. for the activity of steel processing center, as required by the Ministerial Decree of the 14th January 2007 - point
Since 2015 the workshop has been certified according to the UNI EN 1090-1 standard for the production of steel and aluminum structures with the addition of CE Marking in accordance with European Regulation (EU) n. 305/2011.



The main activity and core business of CARMET S.r.l. consists of the production of medium and light carpentry in galvanized steel, stainless steel and, from January 2012, also in aluminum (eg emergency stairs, canopies, sheds, gates, railings, structures for photovoltaic systems).

CARMET S.r.l. today has a consolidated experience in the design, production, assembly and control of structures and or plants for the production of energy from photovoltaic sources, having among prototyped new structures able to improve the performance index of photovoltaic installations.

To do this we use machines such as manual, semi-automatic and automatic band saws; continuous wire, TIG and electrode welding machines; manual and automatic punching machines; manual and automatic plasma cutting; shears for cutting sheets up to 8mm; press brakes from 4 meters and 6 meters; but also manual and automatic cutting-off machines and 4-axis machining center.

All thanks to a team that takes care of the 4 fundamental aspects in the construction of metal carpentry:


Analysis of the client's documents such as project requirements, specifications and estimating metric calculations; feasibility study of the project and site inspections, but also hypotheses of cheaper alternative solutions that remain compliant with customer needs.


Design of structures according to customer needs, permanent loads (own weight of the structure) and variable loads (overload, wind load, snow load, etc.).


Processing of steel profiles and sheets using techniques such as manual cutting, automatic plasma cutting, welding, punching, calendering, press-bending, etc..


Assembly of the carpentry thanks to the use of assembly teams, lifting equipment, means of transport for material and workers.
